Back in 2005, when we did our first Custom Stage Art product, it was a Custom Grill Cloth. Today, our Custom Grill Cloth is still one of our flagship products. Along with that status comes a lot of demand for it. However, there has also been a lot of demand for a more affordable version of the Custom Grill Cloth. And thus, the Custom Cab Covers were born.
While the Custom Grill Cloth remains popular, the Cab Covers offer a variety of cool options not available in the Custom Grill Cloth. The Cab Covers can be applied to either the inner, exposed baffle of a cabinet (over the grill cloth), or it can be applied to the entire perimeter of the exterior dimensions of the cabinet itself. The Cab Cover can also be applied to an exterior dimension of several cabs, creating one large canvas of self-expression.

Ordering is a pretty straight-forward process. Start by selecting your options from the drop down menu below. Please make sure to select an option for each drop down menu. If you don't need an item in a drop down menu, simply select –No Item–. In the comment box below, please specify the exact make and model of the cabinet/head our Custom Cab Cover will be installed on, including dimensions of baffle area. If you have any additional comments, questions, or specifics about the order, please include them there as well. You can also list anything pertaining to color changes, artwork modifications, due date, etc there. After your options are selected, simply add the product to your Cart. From there, you can either shop for more EC products, or proceed to checkout.

Once you proceed to checkout, you can enter your credit card information and the order will automatically be entered into production! One of our Customer Service Reps will be in touch with you immediately to confirm the artwork and any other specifics regarding the order. Custom Cab Covers are currently on a 2 week turnaround, but keep in mind that we're a custom company - and that includes our turnaround times! If you need a Cab Cover in less than 2 weeks, please communicate that. We'll do everything in our power to ensure we meet whatever due date you have.
Configure & Order
Although from a distance there may not appear to be much of a difference between these two products, there are some substantial differences that separate the two.
The main distinctions between the Custom Grill Cloth and Custom Cab Covers are the substrates and installation. Where the Custom Grill Cloth is applied by staples around the perimeter of your baffle (just like a normal grill cloth), the Cab Covers are applied by velcro around the perimeter of either the cab or exposed baffle. This separate install process creates not only a world of new options (attached to four cabs together, rather than one Custom Grill Cloth for each cab) but also creates an extremely quick and easy install that anyone can perform in minutes.
The other big distinction is the substrate. Our Custom Grill Cloth boasts our 10:16 Italian-Import fabric, offering 100% Sonic Transparency. Our Cab Covers, however, do not use the same fabric. We use the same Vinyl Mesh as our Scrims and Backdrops, which offer an 85% blow-through; meaning that the actual substrate is perforated throughout. That perforation allows an almost entirely uninhibited tonality of your cabinet. Although not 100%, it's close enough for our clients who love their Custom Cab Covers. And at half the price of a Custom Grill Cloth, our budget-minded clients can look legit without breaking the bank.
